Job summary

Protech Group is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to service, commission and repair gas, LPG, oil-fired and HVAC equipment across a varied client base. You’ll work on site with a focus on safety, quality and customer service, and participate in a regional call-out rota to support urgent customer needs.

The role requires fault-finding expertise, strong communication, a full UK driving licence and an proactive, professional approach. Ongoing training and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Service Engineer/Heating Engineer/HVAC engineer or similar field-based role.
• Experience servicing, commissioning and repairing gas, LPG, oil or HVAC systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Service, commission and carry out reactive repairs on gas, LPG, oil-fired and HVAC appliances.
• Maintain and service plant equipment including boilers, pumps, pressurisation sets, expansion vessels and flue systems.
• Ensure servicing and maintenance activities follow manufacturer instructions and industry standards.
• Participate in a regional call-out rota to provide responsive support to customers.
• Carry out fault finding and identify remedial works where required.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
• Ensure all work is completed safely following RAMS, COSHH information and HSEQ procedures.
• Accurately complete documentation, timesheets and service records.
• Maintain company equipment and vehicles to a high standard.
• Identify opportunities for additional works and provide accurate quotations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical competence.
