Job summary

ISS seeks a Mobile Gas Engineer to maintain commercial gas, heating, combustion and HVAC across client properties in the region. You will perform PPMs, reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing and installation work on gas, HVAC and related systems, while liaising with clients and ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires proactive maintenance, strong health & safety practices and a focus on delivering high-quality engineering services within facilities management environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified and customer-focused engineer with experience in facilities management/building services.
• Experience in facilities management or building services environments.
• Proactive approach to maintenance, compliance and client liaison.
• Experience completing PPMs within facilities management or building services environments.
• Experience carrying out weekly and monthly PPMs across commercial properties.
• Knowledge of commercial gas, heating, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical fault-finding experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas, heating, HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on plant and systems, including basic electrical fault finding.
• Undertake commercial and domestic gas servicing, repairs and installation works.
• Complete general building services maintenance tasks (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fabric).
• Participate in call-out rota and provide timely emergency response.
• Monitor contractors, issue Permits to Work and ensure workmanship meets standards.
• Maintain plant rooms, workshops and storage areas to high cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, risk assessments and COSHH.
• Experience completing PPMs within facilities management or building services environments.
• Experience carrying out weekly and monthly PPMs across varied commercial properties.
