Job summary

We Are Zenith is seeking a Gas Service Engineer on a contract basis to diagnose faults and service heating systems in domestic properties across the North East. You will provide quotes to customers, discuss parts and cover options, and attend emergency call outs to keep systems safe.

Applicants must hold ACS Gas Qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK. Electrical knowledge, fault finding on S-plan/Y-plan systems, and repair experience are essential.

Qualifications

• ACS Gas qualifications (gas service engineer).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Electrical knowledge including wiring and fault finding on S-plan, Y-plan and combination systems and boilers.
• Repair experience is essential.
• Must have a very high standard of work and be able to think for themselves.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job description:

• Working within domestic properties you will be responsible for diagnostics and servicingof heating systems.
• Providing quotes for customers, discussing parts and cover options.
• Attending emergency call outs and making appliances or systems safe.
• Undertake works in accordance with current Gas Safety Regulations, H&S regulations.
• Prepare and maintain records of completed work.
• Working within domestic properties across the North East.

Person specification:

• Must have ACS Gas Qualifications.
• Full UK driving license.
• Must hold a valid right to work in the UK.
• Must have a very high standard of work and be able to think for themselves.
• Must have a good attitude and be comfortable dealing with customers.
• Electrical knowledge essential, including wiring and fault finding on S-plan, Y-plan and combination systems and boilers.
• Be flexible, responsive and proactive towards workloads.
• Repair experience essential.
• Must be confident and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Rates:

• £25 per completed service
• £10 for fitting a gasket/electrodes
• £2.50 for a no access
