Job summary

ECG Facilities Services is seeking a Maintenance Engineer based in Edinburgh (mobile) to oversee general gas and HVAC plant maintenance. The role involves working within a client-focused team, conducting repairs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of gas systems and commercial gas boilers. The position offers a salary of £40-42k per annum, along with various company benefits including a supplied vehicle and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Gas/Plumbing/HVAC/Maintenance Engineer role.
• Knowledge and experience of commercial gas boilers and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general gas and HVAC plant maintenance.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on general gas kit and unvented hot water cylinders.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Maintain on site log books and permits.
• Work as part of a mobile, client-focused team.
• Participate in callout rota on a rotating cycle.

Skills

Knowledge of gas systems

Responsibilities

• General Gas and HVAC plant maintenance.
• Maintenance/repairs on general gas kit, unvented hot water cylinders, including mechanical & plumbing on site.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork ensuring completion and up-to-date.
• Work as part of a mobile, client-focused team; flexible, works well as part of a team and client focused.
• Callout rota on a rotating cycle (roughly 1 in 8 weeks).

Skills & Qualifications Required

• Knowledge of gas systems/plant and over 5 years’ experience in a similar Gas/Plumbing / HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer role.
• Knowledge and experience of all Gas plant including, but not limited to Commercial gas boilers/water heaters, unvented hot water heaters, plumbing & pipework systems, expansion vessels, pumps etc.
