Job summary

AO in Basildon is looking for a Gas Engineer to deliver high-quality installations and exceptional customer service. You will enjoy a competitive salary, a structured shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off, as well as performance bonuses and overtime opportunities.

As a member of the AO team, you’ll receive support and training while managing your own Gas Safe card. Benefits include a company van with paid fuel, access to healthcare plans, and training facilities for ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Over 21 for insurance purposes.
• At least 1 year’s experience in gas installations.

Responsibilities

As an AO Gas Engineer, you’ll head out on the road with one of our drivers, visiting customers in their homes and bringing their appliances to life. You’ll be installing gas and electrical products safely and efficiently — no repairs, no guesswork. Just high-quality installs and top-notch customer service, every single time.

Qualifications

You’ll need to have:

• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• CCN1 & CKR1 qualifications
• To be over 21 for insurance purposes
• At least 1 year’s experience in gas installations

Preferred Qualifications

• Some experience installing electrical appliances (but don’t worry — we’ll give you all the training you need to get up to speed)
