Job summary

Matchtech Group seeks a Site Manager based in Kent to lead teams delivering gas distribution and transmission projects within the oil and gas sector. The role is permanent and focuses on coordinating fast-paced site activity, maintaining high safety standards and controlling costs for efficient delivery.

You will oversee site safety, quality and schedule adherence while mentoring teams and ensuring compliance with NRSWA, SSSTS/SMSTS and gas industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing sites within gas, utilities, construction or infrastructure environments.
• Gas qualifications (EG SHEA) are essential.
• Strong knowledge of gas industry standards, site management and health and safety best practice.
• Ability to lead teams and manage commercial priorities.
• NRSWA Supervisor and SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications.
• Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead site teams delivering gas network and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety, environmental and NRSWA requirements.
• Monitor progress, identify issues and escalate concerns promptly.
• Manage site schedules to minimise disruption and prevent delays.
• Promote quality, efficiency and continuous improvement across site operations.
• Provide training, mentoring and leadership to support team development.
• Maintain awareness of commercial priorities and help control project costs.
