Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Contract Manager for a permanent opportunity within the gas, transmission and distribution sectors. The role suits an experienced M&E Project Manager with strong gas industry knowledge, leadership to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role focuses on leading multi-disciplinary teams, planning programmes, and managing relationships with clients and the supply chain to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contract Manager, M&E Project Manager or similar senior delivery role.
• Strong technical experience and knowledge within the gas industry.
• Understanding of gas transmission and distribution, oil and gas, or related engineering environments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong planning, organisational and commercial awareness.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with clients, local authorities and supply chain partners.
• Confident communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to health and safety, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing the successful delivery of gas, mechanical and electrical projects from planning through to completion.
• Providing strong leadership to project teams, site personnel and delivery partners.
• Planning programmes, resources, procurement activities and project milestones.
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, local authorities and the supply chain.
• Using gas technical knowledge to support project delivery, decision-making and problem resolution.
• Monitoring project performance, quality, costs, health and safety, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinating contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely project completion.
• Identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
