Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd is seeking an Emergency Gas Response Engineer to be the first on scene at customers' homes when gas escapes or CO alarms issue alerts. You will be part of our Cadent partnership, providing reassurance and safety while assessing and addressing gas-related risks in the Essex area.

You will receive full training, including CODNESP1 gas escape qualification, with mentoring before live deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the gas industry with knowledge of gas appliances and testing.
• Experience with commissioning pipework, installation, replacement and maintenance of gas meters.
• Understanding of standards, legislation, codes of practice and health & safety.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to gas escape incidents at customers' homes.
• Work a 40-hour weekly rota on a 24/7 basis including weekends.
• Operate with provided van, PPE, tools and equipment.
• Complete training including CODNESP1 and Cadent training.
• Represent the brand professionally to customers.

Emergency Gas Response Engineer

Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1 & MET1, looking for a rewarding contract, with a great work life balance and a new training opportunity?

Ganymede have partnered with Cadent to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers.

As part of the role, you will be provided with full training including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineeracross the Essexarea.

Working for Ganymede Energy, you will be the first on the scene at customers' homes, which makes you the face of our brand for people who are worried about potential gas escapes or carbon monoxide activated alarms. The Package

• Basic salary equivalent to a minimum of £41,500 p/a
• Working 40 hours per week on a rota pattern (24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year)
• Minimum hourly rate: £19.95
• Ganymede Bonus of £2,000 - Paid at the end of the contract.
• Van, Fuel Card, PPE, Tools, Equipment and Hand-Held Unit all provided.
• You will be provided with all necessary tooling & work equipment.

About you:

You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

We're looking for excellentcommunication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
