Job summary

Ganymede Energy, partnered with Cadent, seeks an Emergency Gas Response Engineer to be the first on the scene at customers' homes for potential gas escapes or CO alarms.

The role includes full CODNESP1 training and direct Cadent Gas coaching, with mentoring before live deployment as an emergency gas engineer across the Essex area. 40 hours weekly, 24/7 rota, van and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in gas industry with knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning.
• Experience with installation, replacement and maintenance of gas meters.
• Understanding of standards, legislation and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Be the first on scene at customers' homes for gas escape incidents.
• Undergo CODNESP1 and Cadent training before going live.
• Maintain calm under pressure and communicate clearly with customers.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and relevant standards.

Emergency Gas Response Engineer

Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1 & MET1, looking for a rewarding contract, with a great work life balance and a new training opportunity?

Ganymede have partnered with Cadent to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers.

As part of the role, you will be provided with full training including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineeracross the Essexarea.

The Package

• Basic salary equivalent to a minimum of £41,500 p/a
• Working 40 hours per week on a rota pattern (24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year)
• Minimum hourly rate: £19.95
• Ganymede Bonus of £2,000 - Paid at the end of the contract.
• Van, Fuel Card, PPE, Tools, Equipment and Hand-Held Unit all provided.
• You will be provided with all necessary tooling & work equipment.

About you:

You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

We're looking for excellentcommunication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
