Job summary

Ganymede Energy is seeking an Emergency Gas Response Engineer to join its on-call team. You will be the first on the scene at customers' homes, handling gas escape concerns and carbon monoxide alarms with support from Cadent during initial training and mentored live runs.

The role offers a basic salary around £41,500 p/a, 40-hour weeks on a 24/7 rota, and a £2,000 contract completion bonus, plus tools, PPE and a company van. 23 days’ holiday and a pension are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working within the gas industry with knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning of pipework.
• Experience in installation, replacement and maintenance of gas meters.
• Understanding of standards, legislation and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to gas escape emergencies as the first on scene.
• Operate with Cadent under supervision and complete required training.
• Utilise provided tooling, van and PPE to resolve incidents safely.
• Maintain records and communicate clearly with customers during emergencies.

Emergency Gas Response Engineer

Ganymede have partnered with Cadent to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers.

As part of the role, you will be provided with full training including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineeracross the Essexarea.

The Package

• Basic salary equivalent to a minimum of £41,500 p/a
• Working 40 hours per week on a rota pattern (24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year)
• Minimum hourly rate: £19.95
• Ganymede Bonus of £2,000 - Paid at the end of the contract.

About you:

You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

We're looking for excellentcommunication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
