Job summary

Ganymede Energy is seeking an Emergency Gas Response Engineer with CCN1 and MET1 qualifications, to join a Cadent-led contract. You will be the first on the scene at customers’ homes, assessing gas escapes and coordinating safe responses while undergoing CODNESP1 training and direct Cadent mentorship.

This role offers full training, a defined rota, a minimum salary of £41,500 per year, 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension, and a company van with PPE, tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in gas industry including familiarity with gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning of pipework.
• Ability to communicate clearly and stay calm under pressure in emergencies.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first on the scene at customers’ homes for potential gas escapes or CO alarms.
• Assess situations and coordinate safe, compliant responses.
• Receive training including CODNESP1 and Cadent-led guidance before going live.
• Maintain equipment and report on incidents as required.

Emergency Gas Response Engineer

Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1 & MET1, looking for a rewarding contract, with a great work life balance and a new training opportunity?

Ganymede have partnered with Cadent to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers.

As part of the role, you will be provided with full training including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineeracross the Essexarea.

The Package

• Basic salary equivalent to a minimum of £41,500 p/a
• Working 40 hours per week on a rota pattern (24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year)
• Minimum hourly rate: £19.95
• Ganymede Bonus of £2,000 – Paid at the end of the contract.

About you:

You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

We’re looking for excellentcommunication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
