Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Gas Escape Engineer to join our emergency response team with Cadent. You will be deployed to restore gas supplies, manage gas escapes and ensure minimal disruption to customers across the Beds & Herts area.

Initial training including CODNESP1 qualification and direct Cadent instruction will be provided, with mentoring before going live as an emergency response gas engineer.

Qualifications

• You must have gas industry experience with knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning.
• Experience with installation, replacement and maintenance of gas meters.
• Knowledge of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health & Safety.

Responsabilités

• Restore customers' gas supply efficiently while addressing internal and external gas escapes.
• Handle pressure problems, pipework reruns, surveys and reconnections after disconnection.
• Minimise disruption to the customer during emergency response operations.
• Work alongside Cadent Gas as part of the emergency response team in Beds & Herts.

Gas Escape Engineer

Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1 & MET1, looking for a rewarding contract, with a great work life balance and a new training opportunity?

Ganymede have partnered with Cadent to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers.

As part of the role, you will be provided with full training including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineeracross the Beds & Hertsarea.

About the role:

You will be ensuring that the customers gas supply is restored in an efficient manner, dealing with internal and external gas escapes as reported by the public, dealing with pressure problems, pipe work reruns, surveys, and re-connections to the gas supply after disconnection whilst always ensuring minimal disruption to the customer.

Package:

Basic salary equivalent to a minimum of £41,500 p/a

Working 40 hours per week on a rota pattern (24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year) Minimum hourly rate: £19.95

About you:

You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

We're looking for excellentcommunication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
