Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. is recruiting a Gas Escape Engineer to restore gas supplies safely across the Beds & Herts area. You will bring CCN1 and MET1 experience and work on emergency response jobs, following full training through CODNESP1 and Cadent.

The role includes working a 40-hour rota (24/7), with a basic salary of £41,500 p.a., a £2,000 bonus, and fully funded training plus PPE, van, and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning of pipework.
• Knowledge of gas standards, legislation and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Restore customers' gas supply efficiently after escapes or outages.
• Deal with gas escapes reported by the public and pressure problems.
• Perform surveys, pipe reruns, re-connections and safety checks.
• Work across Beds & Herts area with Cadent as part of emergency response.

Gas Escape Engineer

Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1 & MET1, looking for a rewarding contract, with a great work life balance and a new training opportunity?

Ganymede have partnered with Cadent to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers.

As part of the role, you will be provided with full training including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineeracross the Beds & Hertsarea.

About the role:

You will be ensuring that the customers gas supply is restored in an efficient manner, dealing with internal and external gas escapes as reported by the public, dealing with pressure problems, pipe work reruns, surveys, and re-connections to the gas supply after disconnection whilst always ensuring minimal disruption to the customer.

Package:

• Basic salary equivalent to a minimum of £41,500 p/a
• Working 40 hours per week on a rota pattern (24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year) Minimum hourly rate: £19.95

About you:

You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

We're looking for excellentcommunication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
