Ganymede Solutions Limited, Cambridge, is offering training to become a First Call Operative Engineer. The role involves restoring gas supply efficiently, handling in-day gas escapes and addressing pressure issues, with full CODNESP1 training and Cadent Gas mentoring before going live as an emergency response gas engineer.

You will receive a base salary of £41,500, a 40-hour week on a 24/7 rota, fully funded CODNESP1 training, a £2,000 bonus, and 23 days plus bank holidays.

Competenze

• Experience in gas industry with knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning.
• Experience with installation, replacement and maintenance of gas meters.
• Understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure; full UK driving licence; good pipework skills.

Mansioni

• Restore customers' gas supply efficiently as reported by the public.
• Manage in-day gas escapes and pressure problems.
• Perform surveys, pipe reruns and reconnections with minimal disruption.

Train to be a First Call Operative Engineer

Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1, looking for a rewarding contract and a new training opportunity?

Ganymede have partnered with Cadent Gas Network to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers, dealing with in-day gas escapes.

As part of the role, you will be provided with full training, including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineer.

About the role:

You will be ensuring that the customers gas supply is restored in an efficient manner, dealing with internal and external gas escapes as reported by the public, dealing with pressure problems, pipe work reruns, surveys, and re-connections to the gas supply after disconnection whilst always ensuring minimal disruption to the customer.

Package:

• Basic salary: £41,500
• Working 40 hours per week on a rota pattern (24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year)
• Fully funded 1 ½ day course sitting your CODNESP1 qualification.
• Full FCO training with Cadent Gas plus mentoring in your region.
• £2,000 lump sum bonus
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays
• You will be provided with high quality tools, a fully racked vehicle, uniform, fuel card & training.

About you:

You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

We're looking for excellentcommunication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
