Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Domestic Gas Engineer (Servicing & Breakdowns) to join our client in Cornwall. The role covers servicing, maintenance and repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems across social housing properties.

The successful candidate will hold Gas Safe registration with ACS CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1, have a full UK driving licence, and work to Gas Safe regulations. Salary £42,000 plus a van, fuel card and enhanced call pay.

Qualifications

• ACS qualifications including CCN1 CPA1 CENWAT CKR1 HTR1.
• Experience in gas servicing and breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
• Diagnose and rectify gas breakdowns in social housing properties.
• Complete repairs safely and in line with Gas Safe regulations.
• Manage parts ordering and job progression for timely completion.
• Use PDA technology to update jobs, record work and book parts.
• Liaise with tenants and clients, delivering excellent customer service.
• Participate in the company call-out rota (paid extra).
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Duties of the Domestic Gas Engineer:

Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
Diagnosing and rectifying breakdowns in social housing properties.
Completing repairs efficiently and in line with Gas Safe regulations.
Managing parts ordering and job progression to ensure timely completion.
Using PDA technology to update jobs, record work completed, and book parts.
Liaising with tenants and clients, providing updates and delivering excellent customer service.
Participating in the company call-out rota - paid extra, excellent way of earning extra money on top of your salary
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.Requirements of the Domestic Gas Engineer role:

Current Gas Safe registration
ACS qualifications including:
CCN1
CPA1
CENWAT
CKR1
HTR1
Previous experience carrying out gas servicing and breakdown work
Experience within social housing or housing association contracts
Full UK driving licence
A full DBS will be carried out for the successful candidate.
