Job summary

Build Recruitment is representing a leading provider of heating, maintenance and renewable energy services in the social housing sector. A Domestic Gas Engineer is needed to service, maintain and repair domestic gas systems across Cornwall, with a company van and fuel card provided.

You will work on social housing properties, undertake Gas Safe compliant servicing and repairs, diagnose faults, order parts, and keep PDA records, with ongoing training and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Current Gas Safe registration.
• ACS qualifications CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• City & Guilds Energy Efficiency qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous domestic gas servicing experience in social housing.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out domestic gas servicing, repairs and breakdowns.
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults efficiently.
• Completing all work in line with Gas Safe regulations.
• Ordering parts and managing jobs through to completion.
• Using a PDA to update jobs and record completed work.
• Liaising with tenants and clients.
• Taking part in the company call-out rota.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Build Recruitment are currently working with a leading provider of heating, maintenance and renewable energy services within the social housing sector, who are looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to cover Cornwall.

This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established company, offering job security, career progression and ongoing training.

The Role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing domestic gas appliances and heating systems across social housing properties in Cornwall.

• Carrying out domestic gas servicing, repairs and breakdowns
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults efficiently
