Job summary

Build Recruitment are seeking an experienced Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to cover Cornwall for a leading provider of heating, maintenance and renewable energy services within the social housing sector. You will service, maintain and repair domestic gas appliances and heating systems across social housing properties, diagnosing faults, ordering parts, and recording work using a PDA.

Gas Safe registration and ACS qualifications are essential, plus driving licence, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration is required.
• ACS qualifications CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1 are required.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• City & Guilds Energy Efficiency qualification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair domestic gas appliances and heating systems across social housing properties in Cornwall.
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently.
• Complete all work in line with Gas Safe regulations.
• Order parts and manage jobs through to completion.
• Use a PDA to update jobs and record completed work.
• Liaise with tenants and clients.
• Take part in the company call-out rota.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Education

Build Recruitment are currently working with a leading provider of heating, maintenance and renewable energy services within the social housing sector, who are looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to cover Cornwall.

The Role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing domestic gas appliances and heating systems across social housing properties in Cornwall.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out domestic gas servicing, repairs and breakdowns
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults efficiently
• Completing all work in line with Gas Safe regulations
• Ordering parts and managing jobs through to completion
• Using a PDA to update jobs and record completed work
• Liaising with tenants and clients
• Taking part in the company call-out rota
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Requirements

• Current Gas Safe registration
• ACS qualifications including CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• City & Guilds Energy Efficiency qualification
• Previous domestic gas servicing and breakdown experience
• Experience working on social housing or housing association contracts
• Full UK driving licence

A full DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
