Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join the Planned works division, delivering high-quality gas repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties. You will work site-based across Wrexham to Hereford with a 39-hour week, Monday to Friday, including some travel time.

In this role you will inspect and repair gas systems, issue certificates, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified gas engineer with social housing experience and ability to carry out isolation, pipe work alterations, and appliance reconnection.
• Gas-safe registration and relevant CKR1/CCN1/CENWAT/HTR1 certifications required; DBS checks may be needed.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work in occupied properties with safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic gas work, including isolation, pipe work alterations and appliance reconnections.
• Inspect gas installations, produce certificates and complete required paperwork.
• Work in occupied social housing properties, manage day-to-day workload and maintain high safety standards.

Job description

Location: Site working covering Wrexham to Hereford and surrounding area - Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week (some travel time will be incorporated into the hours)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join Novus Property Solutions, Planned works division, providing high-quality gas repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Experienced Gas Engineer working within the Social Housing sector, works will be: isolation's, gas pipe works alterations, reconnecting appliances, gas capping off whilst Kitchens being replaced
• Gas flues and gas pipe work alterations for roof replacements, recommissioning flues
• Gas inspections, producing certificates and appropriate paperwork
• Individuals will need to be comfortable undertaking all aspects of domestic gas work including testing.
• The successful candidate must be able to provide evidence of qualifications or training held
  
• This position require a DBS check
  
• Working in occupied properties
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus' exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• You will need to hold a minimum of CKR1, CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 Certifications.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating, Gas Safe Registration preferred but not essential
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Experience within social housing refurbishment environment.
• Full UK driving license required, DBS check will be taken
