Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Gas Engineer to join our planned works team, covering Newark & Sherwood area. You’ll work Monday to Friday, in a Stoke office-based operation, conducting gas repairs and tests across social housing properties.

You’ll need ACS, CKR1, CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CPA1 certifications, a valid UK driving licence, and a DBS check. We offer stability, a company van, pension, and development opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced Gas Engineer within the Social Housing sector.
• Evidence of relevant qualifications or training held.
• Comfortable working in occupied properties and domestic gas work.
• DBS check required and certificating all works on paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Boiler testing, gas pipe alterations, reconnecting appliances and fault finding.
• Gas inspections and issuing certificates.
• Manage day-to-day workload and work from tickets/ handheld devices.
• Follow health and safety policies and work in a respectful team.

Job description

Location: Stoke office; Site working around Newark & Sherwood area - Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join Novus Property Solutions, Planned works division, providing high-quality gas repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Experienced Gas Engineer working within the Social Housing sector, works will be boiler testing, gas pipe alterations, reconnecting appliances, capping off, gas flues following roof replacements, fitting various parts and fault finding
• Gas inspections, producing certificates
  
• Individuals will need to be comfortable undertaking all aspects of domestic gas work including testing.
• The successful candidate must be able to provide evidence of qualifications or training held
  
• This position require a DBS check
• Certificating all works on the appropriate paperwork.
• Working in occupied properties
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• You will need to hold a minimum of ACS, CKR1, CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 & CPA1 Certifications.
• Full UK driving licence required, DBS check will be taken
