Job summary

Workchain is recruiting a Gas Engineer to service, repair and install gas boilers and heating systems in domestic and commercial settings across the East Midlands. You will diagnose faults, carry out maintenance, and ensure work meets safety standards, with a focus on customer care and reliable service.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, full UK driving licence, and experience with domestic heating systems.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing domestic heating systems.
• CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 or equivalent qualifications preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair gas boilers and heating systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and effectively.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Perform installation work where required.
• Maintain accurate records using the company's job management system.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive customer relationships.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with industry regulations and health & safety standards.
• Work across both domestic and small commercial environments, depending on experience and qualifications.

Gas Engineers (Domestic & Commercial)

Location: Derby, Nottinghamshire & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £40,300 - £45,000 per annum + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

Domestic Gas Engineer Requirements

• Candidates applying for the domestic role should ideally hold: CCN1CENWATHTR1CKR1

Commercial Gas Engineer Requirements

• Candidates applying for the commercial role should have: Relevant commercial gas qualifications
• Experience carrying out service, repair, maintenance, and installation work on commercial heating systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working within commercial environments such as offices, retail units, schools, healthcare facilities, or similar sites

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Gas Engineer
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge of heating and boiler systems
• Full UK Driving Licence
