Job summary

Workchain is recruiting a Gas Engineer (Domestic & Commercial) to join a well-established heating services provider covering the Derby area and surrounding regions. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing gas boilers and heating systems in domestic and small commercial environments, with opportunities for installation work and overtime.

You will join a team focused on quality workmanship and customer care, supported by a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Gas Engineer with domestic and commercial capability.
• Must hold CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 qualifications.
• Strong experience servicing and repairing domestic heating systems.
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair gas boilers and heating systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and effectively.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Perform installation work where required.
• Maintain records using the job management system.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships.
• Ensure work complies with regulations and health & safety standards.
• Work across domestic and small commercial environments.

Gas Engineers (Domestic & Commercial)

Location: Derby, Nottinghamshire & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £40,300 - £45,000 per annum + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair gas boilers and heating systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and effectively.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Perform installation work where required.
• Maintain accurate records using the company's job management system.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive customer relationships.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with industry regulations and health & safety standards.
• Work across both domestic and small commercial environments, depending on experience and qualifications.

Domestic Gas Engineer Requirements

Candidates applying for the domestic role should ideally hold:

• CCN1
• CENWAT
• HTR1
• CKR1
• Strong experience servicing and repairing domestic heating systems
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities

Commercial Gas Engineer Requirements

Candidates applying for the commercial role should have:

• Relevant commercial gas qualifications
• Experience carrying out service, repair, maintenance, and installation work on commercial heating systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working within commercial environments such as offices, retail units, schools, healthcare facilities, or similar sites

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Gas Engineer
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge of heating and boiler systems
• Full UK Driving Licence
