Job summary

Derby Homes are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Gas Engineer to join their team in Derby. You will service and repair gas appliances, work to Gas Safe standards, and hold ACS qualifications for domestic gas work.

A transit style vehicle is provided for travel, stocked with van stock, and you will complete a driver assessment. The role is full-time and permanent, 37 hours per week, based at Derby Homes, London Road Depot.

Qualifications

• Must hold Gas Safe registration and ACS qualifications for domestic gas work.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to service and repair gas appliances to a first-time fix standard.

Responsibilities

• Carry out annual servicing of gas appliances.
• Gaining access to difficult-to-reach properties.
• Carry out breakdowns to a first fix standard using PDA technology.

Derby Homes are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Gas Engineer. The ideal candidate will have an in‑depth knowledge of Gas appliances, Service and Repairs and excellent customer service skills. Must be Gas Safe competent, ACS qualified to install or work on domestic gas appliances and services including the appropriate ACS qualifications in domestic gas work.

The day-to-day duties of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Carrying out annual servicing of Gas appliances.


• Gaining Access to Difficult to Access Properties.


• Carrying out breakdowns to all gas appliances to a first fix standard.


• Using PDA technology to obtain jobs and ordering materials through our supply chain.


• Good communication skills with other team members.

To help you achieve this you will get a transit style vehicle which can be used to travel to and from your home, this will also be provided, full of van stock, all YOU need to do is complete our driver assessment.
