Job summary

Nuco Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Service & Repair Gas Engineer to join a social housing contractor delivering heating services across domestic properties. You will service, repair and maintain gas heating systems in occupied homes, ensuring safety and compliance with Gas Safe regulations.

The role covers PL postcodes with occasional travel to EX23 and TR areas. This permanent, full-time position offers 40 hours per week, 20 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays, an on-call rota and a

Qualifications

• Current ACS qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1 (essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience servicing and repairing domestic gas heating systems.
• Experience in social housing.
• Clean DBS.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of gas safety legislation and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
• Professional, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance on domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults to restore heating and hot water efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current Gas Safe regulations and industry standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working within occupied properties.
• Accurately complete all job sheets, reports and certification using both electronic and manual systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, providing updates on completed works and outstanding repairs.
• Manage your workload effectively while maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance.

Service & Repair Gas Engineer (Permanent)

Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: Covering PL postcodes, with occasional travel to EX23 and TR areas

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call rota

Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (increasing with length of service)

Start Date: September 2026

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service & Repair Gas Engineer to join a well-established Social Housing contractor delivering high-quality heating services across domestic properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused engineer with strong fault-finding skills who enjoys working independently while delivering a high standard of service. You'll be responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, carrying out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance across your designated area.
