Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Gas Engineer to work on a temporary basis in Banbury. This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential for extension depending on client needs.

You will service domestic gas central heating systems and respond to faults, ensuring all work is performed safely and to current regulations. Key duties include installation, servicing and maintenance of gas boilers and central heating, diagnosing faults and completing repairs,

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration is active.
• ACS Domestic Gas qualifications.
• Experience in domestic gas installation, servicing and maintenance.
• Knowledge of gas safety regulations and building regulations.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation, servicing and maintenance of domestic gas central heating systems.
• Diagnosing faults and completing gas repairs and breakdown work.
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety requirements and regulations.
• Responding to customer complaints and resolving service issues.
• Providing customers with updates on work progress.
• Maintaining accurate daily work records.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in good condition.

Overview

The role involves carrying out gas installations, servicing, repairs and maintenance of domestic gas central heating systems, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations and contract requirements. The post holder will also diagnose faults, resolve customer issues and maintain accurate records of work completed.

Essential Criteria

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions
• Full, current driving licence
