A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Garment Technologist within jersey wear, specifically cut and sew. My client is a successful supplier to several leading retailers and supermarkets in the UK and is looking for an experienced Jersey technologist with several years of experience. Knowledge of working with Tesco systems or within a similar environment and customer base is highly advantageous. The ideal candidate should be used to working in a fast-paced, challenging environment for a supplier, thriving under pressure, and capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team. This role offers some hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

• Responsible for approval of garments and advising on fit, construction, and quality issues.
• Attending (virtual) fit meetings with customers and translating comments to overseas factories.
• Creating size specifications and technical packs for factories.
• Working closely with internal design, sampling, sales, and merchandising teams, and developing strong relationships with customers' technical teams.
• Writing fit comments accurately and communicating with overseas factories.
• Liaising regularly with customers regarding fit comments, specs, and requirements.
• Creating production specifications.
• Communicating all information to offshore factories.

Person Specification:

• Previous experience working with jersey cut and sew for a supplier.
• Knowledge of working with High Street Multiples.
• Tesco experience and understanding of systems are highly advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of garment construction.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet key deadlines on the Critical Path.
• Able to give clear, concise written comments to factories.
