A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Garment Technologist within jerseywear cut and sew. My client is a successful supplier to several leading retailers and supermarkets in the UK and is looking for an experienced garment technologist to join their team.

Ideal candidates will have several years of experience working in a similar environment with a customer base, preferably with supermarket experience. The role requires someone accustomed to working in a fast-paced, challenging environment for a supplier, capable of thriving under pressure, working autonomously, and collaborating as part of a team.

This role offers a hybrid working model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

• Approving garments and advising on fit, construction, and quality issues.
• Attending fit meetings with customers and communicating feedback to overseas factories.
• Creating size specifications and technical packs for factory issuance.
• Collaborating with internal design, sampling, sales, and merchandising teams, and building strong relationships with customer technical teams.
• Writing accurate fit comments and sending them to overseas factories.
• Regularly liaising with customers regarding fit comments, specifications, and requirements.
• Creating production specifications.
• Communicating all relevant information to offshore factories.

Person Specification

• Experience working with jerseywear and knitwear for a supplier.
• Knowledge of working with High Street Multiples.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of garment construction.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to provide clear, concise written comments to factories.
