Job summary

Argos is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support delivering customer-focused product ranges and achieve sales and stock targets. You will review weekly performance, forecast at category/SKU level, and coordinate initial allocations with the replenishment team.

You will work in a Coventry hybrid setup, using Excel to analyse trends and optimise availability, margins and stock, while ensuring data integrity and sustainability compliance.

Qualifications

• Commercial background in general merchandise.
• Experience in an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandise Admin role.
• Understanding of allocation and stock management and forecasting.
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
• Highly numerate and analytical.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of customer-focused product ranges to achieve sales, profit, margin and stock targets.
• Review weekly trading performance, identify opportunities and issues, and provide analysis.
• Own and manage category and SKU level forecasts to optimise sales, stock, margin and availability.
• Collaborate with the A&R replenishment assistant to plan initial allocations and launch builds to meet stock and availability targets.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with legal and sustainability requirements.
