Job summary

Gordon Moody is recruiting a Gambling Wellbeing Practitioner to join our clinical team in Redditch. You will deliver evidence-based, psychologically informed interventions to support people affected by gambling-related harm, working with the Clinical Lead, CBT Therapists and Recovery Workers.

The role focuses on recovery, emotional wellbeing, social inclusion and positive long-term outcomes. You will assess needs, help develop care plans and promote engagement with treatment and community

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity CBT or equivalent mental health qualification.
• Ongoing professional development relevant to the role.
• Experience supporting individuals with mental health, addiction or emotional well-being needs.
• Experience delivering structured wellbeing interventions.
• Experience in health, social care, charity or community settings.
• Experience caseload management and prioritisation.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychologically informed wellbeing interventions to individuals affected by gambling harm.
• Support assessments and formulation of emotional, psychological, and social needs.
• Help service users identify goals and develop recovery-focused care plans.
• Deliver structured short-term interventions within treatment pathways.
• Encourage engagement with treatment, peer support and recovery activities.
• Support access to external services and community resources.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately.
• Maintain confidential records and data accurately.
• Participate in supervision, reflective practice and training.
• Contribute to service improvement, audit and evaluation.
• Work in line with policies and professional standards.
