Job summary

Joseph Ash Galvanizing Widnes is seeking Galvanizing Operatives to join our plant, working through the full process from jigging to the galvanizing baths and finishing in the fettling bay. You will handle steel products, wire products to jigs, operate overhead cranes, dip items into zinc, inspect quality, and maintain a safe, tidy workplace.

Joseph Ash Galvanizing Widnes are currently looking for Galvanizing Operatives. Working within our galvanizing plant on the full process systems from initial jigging of product through to galvanizing baths and final finishing in the fettling bay.

Your day to day

• General handling of steel products.
• Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
• Operation of overhead crane equipment.
• Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
• Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
