Job summary

Joseph Ash Galvanizing Widnes is seeking night shift Galvanizing Operatives to work across the full process from jigging through to galvanizing baths and finishing in the fettling bay.

You will handle steel products, wire to jigs, operate overhead cranes, dip items in zinc, inspect for quality and keep a safe, tidy work area. Overtime is often available and a weekly shift allowance applies.

Qualifications

• Positive people with a can-do attitude.
• Enjoy working in a manual environment with heavy lifting.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or galvanizing is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• General handling of steel products.
• Hand wiring of products to jigs for galvanizing preparation.
• Operation of overhead crane equipment.
• Involvement in galvanizing process where items are dipped in zinc.
• Inspection of products to ensure quality.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
