Job summary

Joseph Ash Galvanizing Widnes is seeking Galvanizing Operatives to join our plant, working through the full process from jigging to the galvanizing baths and finishing in the fettling bay. You will handle steel products, wire products to jigs, operate overhead cranes, dip items into zinc, inspect quality, and maintain a safe, tidy workplace.

• Previous experience in manufacturing or galvanizing would be desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• General handling of steel products.
• Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
• Operation of overhead crane equipment.
• Involvement in galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc.
• Inspection of products to ensure quality.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
