Citi is seeking a Lead Java Developer – VP in the FX Risk technology team. You will architect and deliver real-time risk management systems, integrating AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining strong security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on Java development in high-load systems.
• Deep understanding of JVM performance optimisation.
• Experience with distributed architectures and low-latency design.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases in production.
• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS/Azure).
• Advocate for test-driven development and secure code.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Java applications for FX risk management across global markets.
• Architect scalable, low-latency solutions with emphasis on resilience and security.
• Drive technical direction and engineering standards across the team.
• Translate business requirements into robust, high-quality code with stakeholders.
