Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher and ensuring pupils remain focused on their learning.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and following the school's instructions and expectations.
  • Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
  • Supporting pupils with their learning and encouraging positive engagement.
  • Creating a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
  • Working across different secondary schools and adapting quickly to new environments.

We're currently recruiting Future Teachers to work as Cover Supervisors across secondary schools in Sheffield, with both day-to-day supply work and longer-term opportunities available.

With long-term roles and potential temp-to-perm opportunities available, this is a fantastic way to build your experience, develop your classroom confidence and get to know schools from the inside.

You'll be working in supportive secondary school environments where you'll play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning and helping pupils stay focused and engaged.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher and ensuring pupils remain focused on their learning
