Job summary

Academics is seeking an Aspiring Social Worker/SEN TA for a specialist school in Esher, Surrey. You will support pupils aged 7-17 with SEMH, MLD and/or autism, assisting the class teacher and delivering targeted 1:1 or small-group support.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30, term time only, with PAYE pay. A DBS check (Enhanced) and the right to work in the UK are required; start date is September, with on-site training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with the learning experience
• Provide dedicated support to pupils with learning, physical, sensory, or behavioural challenges
• Build trusted relationships with pupils and support 1:1 or small groups
• Follow safeguarding guidelines in the classroom
• Attend staff meetings and complete CPD and training requirements
