Job summary

Holcim UK is seeking an experienced mechanical fitter stepping into an operational leadership role at the Callow Rock plant. The Trainee Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader will blend hands-on maintenance with people leadership, supported by structured training to master asset care.

You will coordinate day-to-day preventive and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, develop maintenance plans, and promote a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fitting experience and hands-on maintenance skills.
• Interest in developing into a leadership role and guiding a team.
• Willingness to learn planned maintenance principles and asset care routines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day preventive and reactive maintenance for the mechanical fitting team.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, resolve breakdowns, and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop scheduled maintenance routines and inspections using digital systems.
• Support safety culture with safe-working procedures, permits to work, and risk assessments.
• Liaise with external contractors and assist with stores management.
