Job summary

United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) seeks a Graduate Vacuum Engineer to join its accredited graduate development programme at Culham, Oxfordshire. You’ll contribute to vacuum engineering on the MAST-U project and gain hands-on experience across design, testing, commissioning, and performance improvement.

You’ll develop technical, project management and leadership capabilities with world-leading experts, supported by a formal programme recognised by IMechE, IET and IoP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering from 2025 to 2027.
• Driven with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges.
• Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver innovative vacuum engineering solutions for MAST-U.
• Work on real-world engineering projects from design to testing and commissioning.
