The role advances core/edge transport codes and collaborates with code developers on advanced physics and transport models.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in plasma physics.
• Experience running plasma integrated simulation codes.
• Experience developing scientific codes with good software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to international collaborations and work packages (EURO fusion-WPTE/TSVV, ITER, or private fusion companies).
• Deliver high-quality research and software outputs aligned with UKAEA priorities and disseminate in journals.
• Guide students and early career researchers in integrated modelling.
