Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Furnace /Batch Engineer for our Chester, SC facility. The role focuses on operating and optimizing furnace and forehearth processes, maintaining safety and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in a high-temperature manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in ceramic, mechanical, or chemical engineering and has at least five years of furnace/manufacturing experience. Travel and I-9 verification may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ceramic, mechanical, or chemical engineering is preferred.
• Five or more years of furnace and manufacturing experience are required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead safety and housekeeping efforts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, control, and maintain furnace and forehearth for safe, efficient production.
• Direct multiple projects and prioritize completion to meet company objectives.
• Write and maintain process instructions and setup sheets for ongoing operations.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement using SPC and six sigma methodologies.
