Job summary

Co-op is hiring a Funeral Service Crew in London. Part-time roles include 22.5 hours and 15 hours per week with a London allowance and benefits. You'll collect the deceased, transport, and provide respectful care in line with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (manual lifting).
• Good IT skills, able to use devices and learn new applications.
• Ability to react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations and scenarios professionally and empathetically.
• Bear coffins on funeral day and drive funeral vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral.
• Maintain client management applications daily with timely records.
• Safely lift, carry and move coffins following safety guidance.
