Dignity Funeral Directors in Ware is seeking a Funeral Service Operative (Level One) to support families with dignity and care. You will handle the deceased with respect, assist Funeral Directors, and drive specialist vehicles. Training, a uniform, and ongoing support are provided.

Must have a full UK driving licence, be physically capable of manual handling, and maintain a compassionate, professional demeanor under pressure. Flexible hours and on-call shifts included.

Responsabilités

• Provide dignified, professional care for the deceased.
• Support Funeral Directors with seamless service and ceremonial work.
• Drive and maintain hearses and other specialist vehicles.
• Keep vehicles and facilities presented to a high standard.
• Join the on-call rota, including nights and weekends.
• Collect and transfer the deceased from homes, hospitals, or other locations.
• Prepare the deceased to family or cultural wishes.
• Support chapel visits and family interactions calmly and respectfully.
• Carry out duties involving the deceased with care and professionalism.
