Job summary
Dignity Funeral Directors, part of Life Services Group, is seeking a compassionate Funeral Service Operative (Level One) for our Care Centre in Wembley. You will support families through one of life’s hardest moments, care for the deceased, and help ensure dignified ceremonies.
A full training program, uniform and ongoing development are provided. The role involves rotating shifts (4:00 AM–2:00 PM and 2:00 PM–00:00 AM), out-of-hours work, a UK driving licence, and a commitment to empathy,
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Empathetic, professional and composed under pressure.
- Respectful and caring with families and colleagues.
- Physically capable of manual handling.
Responsibilities
- Provide dignified, professional care for the deceased.
- Support Funeral Directors with seamless service and ceremonial work.
- Drive and maintain specialist vehicles (hearses, limousines, private ambulances).
- Keep vehicles and facilities presented to a high standard.
- Join the on-call rota, including nights and weekends.
- Prepare the deceased to family, religious or cultural wishes.
