Job summary

Kinship is England and Wales’ leading kinship care charity seeking an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser to grow income from trusts, foundations and the National Lottery. You will develop high-quality funding applications, identify new opportunities and steward key funder relationships while supporting the Senior Fundraising Officer.

Qualifications

• Successfully secured six-figure funding from trusts, foundations and the National Lottery.
• Proven ability to build a strong funding pipeline and generate new leads.
• Excellent bid-writing and written communication.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience maintaining records in a CRM system.
• Strong numeracy including budget development and financial management.
• Analytical skills using data to evidence need and impact.
• Organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for collaborative working across teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned to Kinship's strategic priorities.
• Develop compelling funding applications, proposals and presentations for trusts, foundations and lottery funders.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective funders.
• Develop and manage a strong funding pipeline and generate new income opportunities.
• Lead stewardship and reporting activity for key funders.
• Support the development of budgets and financial information for applications and proposals.
• Maintain accurate records using Salesforce and other systems.
• Line manage and support the Senior Fundraising Officer.
• Act as an ambassador for Kinship and its work.
