Funded Training Project Manager Newcastle, UK

3t is currently looking to recruit a Funded Training Project Manager on a permanent contract located in Newcastle, UK.

3t Training Services is the UK’s largest provider of training for the oil and gas, wind, and power industries, and a significant global player, impacting the wider utilities sectors including gas, electric, and water.

The Role

Your role will be to ensure the viability of training delivery and to help maximise funding drawdown from our funded learning contracts. You will work closely with the Head of Funded Learning during bid stages and take on projects at contract award.

You will oversee projects through their mobilisation phase and retain some involvement during delivery to maximise funding drawdown.

This broad role suits a person adept at multi-tasking, managing internal and external stakeholders, and prioritising effectively. You should be innovative in solving project challenges and persuasive in overcoming barriers, with flexibility to try different approaches.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contract mobilisation: Ensure due diligence for new contracts, collaborate with the Compliance team for documentation, coordinate with partners (e.g., Colleges, Clients, Training Providers), Hotels, and Operations to facilitate course delivery, and brief the Marketing Team to generate learner and B2B enquiries.
• Contract delivery: Liaise with Marketing to set up new courses in the booking system, work with Planning on instructor and course space capacity to meet monthly and contractual targets.
• Reporting: Maintain the project planning tool (e.g., Planner App in Microsoft Teams), set up and track tasks, report on project progress and blockers, and monitor contract timelines and funding drawdown.

Key Performance Indicators

• Timely availability of training from contract award, adjusted for project complexity.
• Maximisation of funding drawdown by ensuring sufficient training spaces are available for booking.
