Job summary

Morgan Stanley Glasgow is seeking a Financial Reporting Associate to join the Financial Reporting Team. The role involves preparing hedge fund financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS, and compiling audit packs for interim and annual audits.

You will work closely with Client Facing Account Managers and fund accountants, ensuring timely deliverables, strict adherence to internal controls, and clear communication with auditors. ACCA/ICAS or accounting degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/ICAS or relevant professional accounting degree.
• Experience with hedge funds, asset managers or fund administration is preferable.
• Strong communication and numeracy skills with attention to detail.

Job DescriptionFinancial Reporting, Associate, Fund Services (Glasgow)Morgan Stanley are looking for a Financial Reporting Associate to join their Financial Reporting Team.The Financial Reporting Team works with the Client Facing Account Managers and the accountants responsible for the fund to prepare the annual statutory accounts along with the pack of information requested by the client’s auditor. The position requires strong communication, and accounting skills and an understanding of financial statements in the financial services industry.The Associate will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and will prepare the financial statements under US GAAP/IFRS and complete other regulatory reporting of hedge funds. The Associate will work with the team in providing timely deliverables, for the interim and annual audits. The position requires strong knowledge of the preparation of financial statements under accounting standards such as US GAAP/IFRS, accountancy/numeracy skills.This wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley administers over $600 billion of hedge fund assets.
