Job summary

Aztec Group is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Manager / Associate Director to lead accounting for a varied fund portfolio and supervision of junior staff. You will review bookkeeping, investor reporting, statutory statements and respond to investor queries, while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years in a Financial Services setting.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge supported by Aztec Academy.
• Some people management experience.
• Experience with client relationships and major reporting.
• Competent with accounting software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead accountant for various fund structures within a team.
• Review bookkeeping for funds, management companies, and structures.
• Oversee accounting matters for a portfolio including investor reports and statutory statements.
• Attend client board meetings and present quarterly financial information.
• Manage and respond to audit queries.
• Act as 4-eyes signatory on accounting matters and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate periodic tax returns and liaise with foreign tax advisors.
• Supervise and train junior staff and oversee appraisal processes.
