Job summary

Puma Investments in London is seeking a Fund Operations & Settlements Executive to join our Operations team. You will manage operational activities across the client investment cycle, ensuring SLAs are met and service is excellent for external clients and internal units.

You will collaborate with Sales, Client Relations, Finance, Compliance and Product teams, optimise processes, and contribute to automation and data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Investment Operations, Fund Operations, Settlements or a Middle Office environment.
• Strong understanding of the financial services industry and experience with third-party custodians and platforms.
• Sound knowledge of the trade lifecycle, including settlement, reconciliation and issue resolution.
• Advanced Excel skills with data analysis, manipulation, and validation capabilities.
• Exposure to VBA, AI tools and workflow automation, or willingness to develop these skills.
• Process-improvement mindset with ability to streamline and automate manual processes.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and accuracy; able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the operational delivery of investment products, liaising with custodians and counterparties within SLAs.
• Process investor account openings, subscriptions, transfers and redemptions.
• Monitor weekly front-office trading from execution through settlement and resolve failed trades.
• Manage adviser fee and AMC calculation processes, ensuring timely SLA delivery.
• Review and action regular payments between internal accounts and third parties.
• Reconcile trade instructions and ensure accurate settlement of cash and stock by deadlines.
• Coordinate Corporate Action monitoring and regulatory reporting alignment.
• Support periodic product launches and changes; maintain data integrity across systems.
• Escalate incidents and risks promptly; identify opportunities to automate using AI.
