Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada in London is seeking a Product Development Manager to own the full product lifecycle for pooled funds across Luxembourg, Ireland, and Cayman Islands, and across UCITS and AIFs. You will coordinate with investment, sales and infrastructure teams, lead multiple workstreams, and drive process improvements including AI-powered tools to boost efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must-have: Previous experience in a similar role, with direct involvement in managing a product range across domiciles and fund structures.
• Must-have: Familiarity with AI-powered tools and large language model assistants, document automation, or workflow tools to enhance productivity.
• Must-have: Strong understanding of equities, fixed income and alternatives as asset classes.
• Must-have: Technical knowledge of UCITS/AIFs and an interest in regulations.
• Must-have: Experience reviewing and drafting fund proposals and legal documentation.
• Must-have: Ability to handle multiple projects to tight timelines.
• Must-have: Detailed oriented, strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage fund launches and product alterations across multiple jurisdictions (Luxembourg, Ireland and Cayman Islands) and vehicle types (UCITS & AIFs).
• Proactively redesign product development processes, leveraging AI technologies to identify inefficiencies and build scalable frameworks for launches, alterations, and regulatory monitoring.
• Scoping of product including product design, commercial viability and operational feasibility.
• Produce product proposals and board material to progress through approval process with governance standards.
• Produce fund documentation including prospectus and related documents with external counsel and internal teams.
• Project management of the entire product launch process and ensure governance steps are followed.
• Ensure regulatory impacts are considered that may affect product design.
• Contribute to ad-hoc research projects on potential new fund structures and domiciles.
