Finance, Accounting & Middle Office Search for Private Markets and Funds Management

An established and boutique Venture Capital Fund is looking to recruit a Fund Operations Manager into a newly created role due to growth. This is a superb role for someone looking for an incredibly broad, challenging and hands-on role that will operate across fund accounting, fund operations, supporting fund raising (active) and investor relations.

Based in Central London (3 days in the office / 2 remote), you'll be joining a team of around 20 people working directly with the CFO who has a wealth of experience in VC and PE.

Responsibilities will include:

Fund Accounting & Operations

• Bookkeeping, quarterly and annual accounts preparation for in-house funds
• Management of administrator for outsourced funds, providing information and reviewing outputs
• Preparation of Drawdown and Distribution notices for all in-house funds
• Updating of portfolio management system for fund level accounting data
• Audit support for all vehicles
• Review of tax returns prepared externally and support in preparation
• Global fund compliance filings and management of international tax processes
• Payment set up and review
• Provide support on investment transactions
• Preparation of GP LP drawdown and distribution notices
• Preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for all co-investment structures

Investor Relations

• Upload and review/check of investor documents; update investor information
• Creation and update of investor database including tax information
• Management of quarterly reporting process
• Managing the investor inbox and investor queries
• Pipeline management & fundraising support - response to DDQ's, RFP's etc.
• Managing the marketing communications

Your background:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a background spent in a venture capital or private equity fund and/or with relevant industry experience gained working at a fund administrator
• Proven experience in fund accounting / fund operations; any investor relations experience would be a plus but isn't essential
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive and able to work independently
• High level of integrity and professionalism
