Job summary

Hydrogen Group in Liverpool is seeking an Application Manager to lead the Functions Technology portfolio. You will own operational performance, resilience and driving improvements across critical enterprise applications in Finance, People, Risk and Compliance.

You will manage a small team, coordinate suppliers and partner with senior stakeholders to mature production management and architecture rationalisation. This is a 12-month FTC with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a portfolio of enterprise business applications.
• Background in application engineering, development, configuration or application support.
• Experience leading application teams and coordinating technical resources.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL-based service management and incident/change processes.
• Experience with supplier management and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small application team and coordinate embedded systems engineers.
• Own application performance, availability, support and resilience.
• Improve production management, address recurring incidents and strengthen stability.
• Manage strategic application suppliers and service levels.
• Support development, configuration, integrations and improvements.
• Drive lifecycle management and contribute to architecture rationalisation.
• Strengthen governance, risk controls and audit readiness.
• Ensure changes/releases transition safely into production.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Risk and Compliance.
• Develop service reporting, improvement roadmaps and consistent management practices.
