Job summary

Hydrogen Group seeks an experienced Application Manager to own a portfolio of enterprise applications spanning Finance, People, Risk and Compliance. The role is hybrid in Liverpool, on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with responsibility for stability, security and controlled operations across the portfolio.

You will lead an application team, coordinate internal tech teams and external suppliers, and work with senior stakeholders to improve service performance and deliver change safely.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise or SaaS application management.
• ITIL-based service-management practices.
• Experience with major incidents, problem and change management.
• Focus on operational resilience and service improvement.
• Knowledge of supplier, vendor and commercial management.
• Experience with application integrations, data flows and access dependencies.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary application or support teams.
• Experience managing senior business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own health, performance, resilience and lifecycle of enterprise applications.
• Maintain clear ownership, support models, documentation and dependencies.
• Lead major incident and problem management; drive preventive actions.
• Own application risks, controls, audit actions and remediation plans.
• Ensure access, change, data and supplier controls are evidenced.
• Manage strategic technology suppliers against SLAs and contracts.
• Lead supplier reviews, escalations and improvement plans.
• Work with business and delivery teams to prioritise changes.
• Ensure new services/releases are operationally ready before go-live.
• Own service-transition requirements including training and documentation.
• Provide concise reporting on health, risk, cost and improvements.
• Lead and develop application team members within matrixed tech teams.
